  I have numerous accounts through US Bank. Friday I went to this location to close one account and to talk to someone about purchasing a home. I told him that I wanted to look at my credit to see what my options were. I simply wanted to make sure my credit is as good as it needs to be to get a competitive rate. The man I spoke to lectured me that it was a bank and they couldn't help me. He said they don't do credit checks and they don't help people with their credit. He suggested I get a credit card to build my credit. Then pay them every month. He didn't bother to ask about my annual income or the current status of my credit. I already have credit and accounts well established. He was extremely unprofessional and made accusations (perhaps because I'm a young single woman) that I wasn't in the fiancial position to buy a home based on my appearance. He didn't pull up my account or ask for my ID. He simply said, "I'm sorry but I can't help you". Needless to say I'm looking for another bank and someone who wants to speak with me about purchasing a home. Unbelievable.
