  A delicious deli sandwich shop. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. A large selection of sliced meats, a choice of breads and rolls and veggies. A large display of soft drinks and California wines. For lunch they assembled a vegan veggie sandwich on dark rye that was delicious. Six months later I'm back again, for a meeting, and had the pleasure of a vegan breakfast sandwich: French bread, avocado, sprouts, tomato and black olives. Every sandwich is made to order. Inside and patio seating. Everything is wheelchair accessible including the nutural gender bathroom. Metered street and garage parking is available. Pennisi's Deli is across the street from the Sacramento Convention Center and can get quite busy. But, the food is delicious, well worth the wait.
