  The park is quite impressive / expansive… Went here specifically to visit the dog park—which I actually struggled to locate in the dusk. (The fenced-in dog park area = at the southern portion of the park, just after the south-most entrance. The dog park has two sections for small and large dogs. But be forewarned that there is limited shade—and most of the park is covered with sand/gravel rather than grass —> which might translate into lots of gravel-picking + needing to give your pup a bath from all the dust (particularly if you've got a fuzzball like my mini-poodle—whose fur, I'm pretty sure, is actually just velcro).
