  During our 6 night stay: The hotel is currently undergoing major renovations making a good part of the hotel inaccessible like the gym, swimming pool or hot tub. They made arrangements with the hotel next door so that guests can use their gym, which was fine but a little inconvenient. The hotel is conveniently located right off of I-5 and is surrounded by tons of restaurants, grocery stores and fast food chains. We were able to eat at a different location each day for lunch and dinner or picked something up from the grocery and brought it back to our room. We ended up with one of the newer rooms. It was a wheelchair accessible room and I am not sure why we were given this type of room if it was not requested, but it was huge and had a huge space in between the bed and desk with flat screen TV. The blinds were controlled by remotes. Unfortunately the blinds ran out of a charge and we could not roll down the blinds the 1st night. 3 people came into the room to check the blinds before letting us know they could not be charged because maintenance had left for the evening. It was late at night and we had already unpacked so we did not want to ask for a different room. Our room was on the 1st floor so we had to sleep with a street light glaring through the window, an option I chose because I was exhausted from a long day and traveling. The blinds were charged and working the next day. The restroom was also extra large. The staff was friendly. Housekeeping kept the room clean and stocked. The kitchenette included lots of cabinets, mini fridge, which kept our things really cold, microwave, and keurig with 6 options of pods of coffee and tea. The free breakfast was hit or miss, but their were lots of options like oatmeal, cereal, fruit, and bagels if you didn't want to eat the sausage patties or scrambled eggs. My favorite was the biscuits with sausage gravy and English muffins. Unlimited free coffee in to-go cups were a hit for us. A variety of juice was also available. The stay was quiet and pleasant until more and more rooms began to be occupied. The sounds from guests in the hallway and nextdoor seemed to come right in through the doors which didn't seem to provide much privacy. Only because of that we might try out the hotel next door the next time we are in town. I still gave them 4 stars overall because the manager was sincere and very interested in how our stay was when we checked out.
