  Doctor Spencer (general dentistry) seemed nice enough, but he missed or failed to treat a cavity I had. It was pointed out to me later by an orthodontist in a different office.
  
  Doctor Alonzo (oral surgery) was underhanded. He had me come in for two appointments, had a plaster cast made, and had me go to an orthodontist, all without telling me that he was not willing to give me implants without also breaking and realigning my jaw to fix my bite. I definitely need implants as some of my permanent teeth never came in and my baby teeth are now loose, but I've lived with this bite for 48 years, and the surgery he's insisting on isn't covered by my insurance. Had he told me at the outset that he'd insist on this procedure I would have explored other options without having wasted hundreds of dollars.
  
  The staff at the office were awful. The receptionist in particular is rude. Also the nurse who was taking notes for Dr Spencer during his first examination of my teeth kept getting things wrong. Dr. Spencer kept asking her to read the notes back, and had to correct her repeatedly. He was very patient.
  
  I made the following notes regarding a phone call in April 2008, but similar incidents happened at other times:
  
  "Called Eugene Spencer’s office to get study models.
  Female answered the phone at first. Cut me off and told me to wait a second. About 3 minutes later “Brian” picked up. I explained I’d need my study models. He said they’d call tomorrow when they were ready.
  
  Claimed receptionist didn’t work for him. I asked if I could speak to a supervisor. He said he was the supervisor. I asked why he said she didn’t work for him. He said they all work together. I asked for his last name. He wouldn’t give it."
