  I want to commend Nick and the folks at Frank's... I live in Kentucky and my son is in college in Sacramento. My son bought a Passat and didn't realize how many problems it had. He was soooo discouraged and bummed about it that I even considered grabbing a flight and going out there. I looked on Google and saw all the good reviews for Frank's and decided to give them a call. They did the full diagnostic on the car and then Nick got on the phone with me and we discussed the options at length. There were 9 check engine codes! Nick looked at the blue book value of the car, and what my son had paid for it, and what repairs were needed. All said and done, he recommended that because we bought the car well below kbb value, that we could make the repairs and we should still be ok. And, they even did a temp repair just enough to be able to drive the car a few miles and evaluate the transmission, to make sure that they felt good about it, before giving the final advice and asking me to commit to the repairs. They fixed everything and the car runs great now. We got cleared on SMOG and got the plates for it. I think what I appreciated the most is that on the initial visit, Nick calmed my son down and told him everything would be ok... like a father would. My son called me and told me how nice everyone was and that they took a lot of stress away when he went there. Can't thank you folks enough!!! Awesome job! - Alan (Dad)
